I am Dianne.....the owner and creator behind The Soap Boxx. I started making soap way back in the 90's, I think I saw something on Better Home's and Gardens about grating a bar of soap down and cooking it with other additives on the stove and then placing in a mould! I thought to myself, there has to be a better way to do this rather than grating a Dove bar! So in the early days of the World Wide Web I started to research Soap Making, and came across a couple of websites that helped me on my journey! Then I was hooked, and had more then enough soap for me, so I started giving it away to family and friends. This kept going until I had my first baby, and then I didn't have the time to make any soap. But then the day came when I finally ran out of my stash, and I had to buy supermarket soap. The very next day, after using that, I went out and purchased ingredients to make my own again!
In 2012 I decided to try and see if other people other then close family liked my soap too, and The Soap Boxx was born! I started doing markets around the local Biloela area, and the response was awesome! Since then I have gone into a Collective store with a whole group of talented makers and business owners, and markets have been on the down low!
I am hoping that this website will make it a bit easier for locals and others to buy my soap during this health crisis that is COVID - 19, and hope that after the crisis is over I can continue it.
